Questions about For the Glory

I've never played these two games before but I find them interesting.
Is For the glory an expansion of EU2 like Iron Cross of HOI2?
And, Is For the Glory's map the same as EU2 or Asia Chapters?

Not sure which is the second of the "these two games" you mention. But no, FtG is not an expansion of anything, it's a free-standing modified version of EU2.

The map is derived from EU2.

Asia Chapters is entirely unrelated to the EU series, aside from being licensed from Paradox. It's written by someone else. No idea what it's map looks like, sorry.

Thx a lot but does For the Glory perform better comparing to EU2 overall? I'm not sure which to choose.

Depends what you mean by "perform better". If you mean "will it run faster on old hardware", no. Is it a better game? I'd say so, but opinions could legitimately vary.

FTG does have all the nifty little stuff you would be familiar with from a more recent Paradox game, something EU2 does not have.

If I want to have some map mods, which one do you guys prefer?
Does the AGCEEP mod work with all the map mods?

I think WATKABAOI is the most polished of the map mods.
AGCEEP has been ported to WATK (here) and MyMap (here); they're not officially supported, of course.

If you never played the games and don´t know the differece - then simply play a game with the normal map so that you know from which original the variations are derived.

My personal experience: don't play Vanilla game - it's horrible. I tried both MyMap and Watkabaoi. MyMap is very detailed and with AGCEEP events, yet I liked Watkabaoi more.

I agree Watkabaoi is the most polished of the maps out there. But I personally prefer AGCEEP on vanilla map if we are talking of a good historical feeling to the gameplay.
