That means that the experts will have no difficulty in crushing the AI. OK, we will see in some time, if that is correct.

Alright, thanks for all the answers people. I'm looking forward to diplomacy, but I just don't think it'll be able to satisfy the craving for massive-scale games. Ye people have spoiled us.
Hyzhenhok said:The great majority of gamers play only single player. I'm willing to bet Paradox knows this and has put a LOT into the AI.
Gelatinous Cube said:I hope so. Compared the HoI, for example, Diplomacy appears to have little situational flavor, or any of the nice little touches that make HoI so, well, good. Everything is abstracted, and, well, Spain only has one province! Without some amazing AI, I don't see it being a very good single player game.
Hyzhenhok said:The simper game situation actually likely makes programming a tougher AI easier. So I think Diplomacy AI will be much smarter than EU2 or HoI AI.
Gelatinous Cube said:But the entire Diplomacy aspect of Diplomacy revolves around conversing with and conspiring with the other players? You cannot program an AI that good. And if they did, i'll eat my shoe.
LOL.David E. Cohen said:If they did, and you do, post a picture. LOL

AI must then simulate that it doesn't know where the message came from, and it also needs to be able to send you (and other AI) false press caliming to be some other power. Wow, if those press options ARE implemented, it will sure be fun to play SP. But what a huge job for the AI crew.
