Two questions on game oddity:

How can a one province country with a relatively cheap resource afford to have a 31 division army?

How is it that a country can start off having transport ships, but is unable to build them at least awhile into the game?

1. The AI cheats on soldier upkeep cost. Trust me, you want it that way...

2. God knows why you can't buyild transports from the beginning...

IIRC you need Naval Tech 4 to be able to build them...

As for them appearing in the beginning of a scenario, thet's just because they had them already...

I know that you need naval 4. Except when I need to know it. :D I menat that it's a mystery that you can't build 'em from naval 0 and onwards.

How could they have them already if they don't posess the tech to build them!?

I was commenting more on the absurdity of having artillery before you, or any other country, has the tech to build them.

It's like me having a time machine, when the technology doesn't exist.

Well, there weren't many arty pieces around at the time, those who had them had them, and those who didn't didn't. If they were to give the ottos enough tech to build artillery themselves, the amount of artillery would drastically increase to unhistorical proportions, thus creating an unfair advantage.

Not to mention that giving them land tech seven at the start of the game would see them rocket to LT9 and proceed to wipe the floor with everybody.

I know the practical gameplay purposes, but I still hate it and nothing you can say will change my mind :mad:

I think it better to just give the leaders of the counties with early artillery +1 siege value instead.

Learn to appreciate the good side: when you're fighting them one of their armies is ridiculously slow ;)
