Dear Dev Team,

Over a month passed since release of megacorp and Le guin update.
Despite few patches game still experience heavy bug and performance issues.
At the moment to be able to play game without experiencing broken core mechanics players have to depend on heavy mod usage. This obliviously break achievement system for those players as well.
I have also noticed that customer complains and understandable negative community feedback was meet with threats of severing communications, and judging on current state of community forum communications with team responsible for game stopped.

Despite my understanding of this approach i believe that we should have been updated, when we can get properly finished or at last working product ?
Another thing i would like to know, why customers buying new expansion especially those who preorder it were not informed of state we will get the game.

There may be question why i ask difficult questions like this ?
Answer is simple, i really wanted to get my elderly father a full copy of game, mostly because He is playing Europa Universalis series since first installment. Sadly i had to buy him new power drill instead because gift of product in this state will most likely discourage Him from playing it.

Thank You

I don't think this is very helpful. The team have been back at work for less than a week. Look - I'm not thrilled with the decision to release 2.2 when they did. It was clearly a conscious decision to release a borderline broken patch/expansion 2 weeks before a vacation period and that's pretty ordinary. BUT - I don't think there should be any doubt that the team is working as hard as they can to get the game into shape and get patches and beta-patches out to us as soon as possible.

And I mean - given rushing a patch out is what caused the problem in the first place, you wouldn't want to see a patch released, even as a beta, that was actually a regression because it wasn't tested well enough. I think now they are under no illusions as to how the community feels, let's give them a chance to get the game back in shape and then see if they can learn for what happened and apply it to future releases.

I agree that topics like this are not helpful at all, creating not needed pressure to already overworked team.
On the other hand i do not think community standpoint should be ignored. Of course bugs had to be expected with such extensive changes but on the other hand we should have been informed about current state of game that is closer to beta than finished product. Straight honesty or Beta release would greatly reduce backlash and save disappointment most of us experienced and should be expected.

I believe that two things must happen now to bring the game's quality back up:

1. Bug triage for all reported bugs
There are a lot of bug reports and the team must first of all spends some time to prioritize. Some bugs are major and others do not impact the game at all. Some will require a lot of time to fix and others can be solved in under an hour. Given the amount of bus there are, this triage phase could easily last 2 or 3 weeks.

2. Allocate suitable time for both minor and game breaking bugs
It is almost always impossible to focus on multiple large bugs at the same time as fixes can influence each other. Thus it is often necessary to fix one big bug first prior to takling the next one. What this means is that game breaking bugs will likely be fixed slowly.
A small team could however work on sma bugs at the same time. Like fixing typos or incorporating fixes that where created by the community. These fixes could be released fast.
