I wanted to ask how much immigration you normally got when playing the USA, and what you did to get it.

First, my AAR on USA is here, although it's true I did not address the immigration issue at all. To be honest, I wasn't at all concerned about it at that point.

Don't start asking about how immigration works in v2, because I ain't wrinkled it out yet.

Looking at my notes, it would appear that national immigration varied from between 2.5k to 26.6k at max for the game, which I ended about 1856. I did set one of my National Focus Points to try and encourage immigration to Kansas in 1849, but I never did check up on that to see if it seemed to help. So except for that one change, I really did not consciously do anything to attract immigration to the US.

Immigrants like to go to nations in the Americas and Democratic nations. Since the USA is both the attract a fair bit.
