IS there some particuler reason why hungary refuses to becomes austrias vassal? i mean my reputation is honorable. im three times their size too. our relaitons are 200. Military allaicne royal marriage etc. I have thrown so much mone at them its insane. Yet no luck. I have asked htem dozens of times. IS there something im not grasping?
Is it just me or do countries that are historically annexed by event normally refuse to be vassals of their future master? When A long time ago I played as Castile and at the time I didn't know much about events. I tried vassalizing Aragon but they refused multiple times, even after taking Granada. Is there some hidden feature which makes countries in such situations resist vassalization more fiercely?
Having a larger army than them will help, also your monarch diplo skill should be better then theirs.
But it might be your high BB if you say you are 3 times larger then them.

Not anymore, it won't be. The existence of Siebenbuergen as a trigger condition has been scrapped altogether. Austria will now either receive most of Hungarian provinces betwen 1516 and 1540 (if Turkey controls Maros, Magyar and Pest), or else will inherit Hungary in 1540.

Usually, I get them as close as possible : Trade agreement, military access, mil. alliance only with them (and sometimes also some others - ive seen that when only with them they "feel" more important), royal marriage, obviously one or two bordering provinces, and +200.
