A long time ago, say 10 roughly, I played a game I liked, called X-COM: Apocalypse (last of the X-COM, RIP). And I very much liked the game system of the serie with several bases, global research squad and so on.

Will Cartel have somewhat the same gameplay as X-COM apocalypse? (One town, several ware houses, and strategical vehicule fights, not forgetting reputation between entities in the city)

If they are going to make it similar to the original Syndicate (and I bet they are), it's bound to be in the same genre as X-Com or Jagged Alliance games. The only difference here would be the fact that Syndicate was real-time not turn-based like the other two, but that's not a game-breaking difference.

I hope they go whole-world though, I much preferred whole-world X-Coms too.
