Question on States....

Where in the gamefiles is the list of states (ie groups of provinces upon which the development of factories is based) and is this list hardcoded or malleable. I'd like to do some testing with smaller colonial states but would need to create new state names and my first test, creating a new state of Celebes for the Dutch colonies in Indonesia, produced the error message "name Celebes not recognized" when the Graphichs was loading at the very start of loadup. look into Victoria/config folder, names should be located there

Well I found the right file : Victoria\config\world_names.csv so I decided to add a new line to add a new state for Celebes :

AREA_CELEBES;Celebes;;;;;;;;;;x

Then to test went to Victoria\db\province to test with a province (in this case Macassar) :

2561;PROV2561;Celebes;South-East Asia;Asia;Macassar;Mountain;Forest;Tropical_Wood;40;0;30;2334;25408;7627;25408;7627;25374;7604;-100;-100;0;-100;-100;0;-100;-100;0;-100;-100;0;25385;7633;-1;-1;-1;-1;-1;-1;-1;-1;-1;-1;-1;-1;-1;-1;-1;-1

I only changed the area name, nothing else.

When I try to load up the game to test it works, still get the "Area Name Celebes Not Recognized."

Any suggestions what else may need to be changed?

Looks like we can not ADD new states to the game....drats :wacko:
