I was wondering if the generals in HoI will be like in EUII in the way that they command a single unit. Or if they will be able to actually control several units. Will there be random leaders like in EUII? Or will the new units just go under the command of one of the generals (or admirals or any other officer) that you already have? For example:

Will Erwin Rommel command one single unit, or will he actually be able to control lots of different units?

Thanks in advance! :)

Each unit gets a generic leader. But your country might have different, real-life, generals at hand thay it can assign to the troups they want. The general can command more than one unit, as lots of regiments might work together in an army. (kinda like 'merge')

Wait a second, you mean lots of divisions, right?
Will the divisions be divided in regiments like the armies in divisions?
In the weekly screenie we got a French army and it had several divisions, but it doesn't show anything about regiments.........

You're right, the smallest unit in the game is the division. So replace "regiment" with "division" in Vulture's post and the info is correct. :)
