Question on Colonial Triggers

Is there any trigger for if a province is known to a country? Let's say you want to write an event for the sale of Manhattan island. It would be nice to know that England has actually found Manhattan.

On the same theme, is there any trigger for whether a pagan nation has been discovered by anyone or by a specific country. I would like to make some events where the monarch requests you to subdue a pagan nation. It would be nice to know that the country has discovered the nation.

If there is a mechanism for the above, please respond. If there is no mechanism, consider this a wish list for an update.

You could perhaps use the neighbour trigger... it will of course require that you have a TP or colony there... but perhaps that's good enough?
