I've been playing as the US and its now 1906. I got British Columbia, and am wondering if this may have derailed Canadian expansion westward. Canada has not grown except to incorporate the maritime provinces, the Hudson Bay Company is still British, and when I annexed the Sioux I also got the south of Alberta and Saskatchewan. I've looked through the event files, and can find one named "Treaty 2" but no "Treaty 1", in addition, the event tree requires input from Britain. At this point I am considering triggering the first event in the tree. Does anyone know which one this is?

I think you may have interferred with the chain, though Canada does tend to receive some of that land quite late on (as historical).
