Question: Notification Holy Wars

Hello,

as Emperor of Skandinavia, I expanded to the British Isles by conquering Scottland.
MY King vassal of Scottland is now suffering a Holy War vs Erye and France. Nothing to worry about but I havent received a notification about that.

So my question: Is there a chance to activate such a notification?

If the king of Scotland is your vassal that Holy War must target you if it's defensive, not him. So he is not your vassal, or the king of Scotland is the one attacking.

Outsiders can only declare war on the top liege, so if they declare Holy War they declare it on you, not on him. He, on the other side can delcare war on outsiders without dragging you in.

I misred the tooltip. My kingvassal declared a holy war to the neighbour country.

Asked myself how smart is the AI.
MY king vassal should know by checking relations that France will assist.
Anyway, don´t know how and why but this war ended in white truce.

The AI can be a little dim when it comes to religious wars, especially when the potential alliances aren't always obvious: as Ireland I've helped the Frenchies defeat at least two Umayyad holy wars, and one against Byzantine Mallorca, but I guess they thought the troop numbers of Ireland were such that I wasn't a threat, more fools them (could also be distance: I know for a fact I'm too far away to join Catholic defensive pacts against the Umayyads even though I'm a major seafaring power). See also the constant Norse coastal conquests, 99% of which end in abject failure that sometimes leads entire empires to collapse.

Your king got his ass kicked and decided to be smart and cut his losses. Sometimes the AI will do that: just the other day I had a revolting vassal try to buy me off with white peace at 88% warscore, my favor. (I rejected the offer and forced a full surrender so I could enrich myself from the ransoms.)
