Hey all,

Just picked up a copy of Stellaris recently due to a sale I'm sure most of you are aware of...

My question is, what mods do you consider to be sort of 'must haves'? In particular, what mods seem to consistently put out up-to-date quality content, especially ones which: 1) Increase species appearance variety, 2) Increase species trait selections, 3) Increase In-game content like traditions, ship/component variations, events, traits etc....

Appreciate the feedback!

I'd say the Lex mod but that's in the works right now.

Potent rebellions make for good instability in the galactic map. (Sometimes too much)

The Zenith of the fallen empires mod collection is a very interesting mod IMO, it gives you the chance to become an "ascended empire" basically an awakened fallen empire. As well, as the oppurtunity to turn into a stagnant one in the future.

Improved space battles has a lot of features.

Oh yeah there's also More events mod for... well, events~

If you like exploring (and frankly, if you don't you should probably get another game instead), you'll probably like discovering things. More events will add more things to discover. As far as I remember (haven't used mods for a while) it kept with the general theme of the game without breaking immersion.
More Events Mod

I've also read about two mods that improve the AI, and they supposedly work really well together. As a heads-up, I haven't tried either of them and I'm not 100% sure my quick googling found the right ones. As another heads-up, they'll probably make the game harder.
Enhanced AI
¡Glavius's Compatible AI mod

Another one I haven't tried is Strike Craft Expanded. There's an issue with strike craft (ie small vessels docked inside larger ships) making them appear to flee from a battle as soon as it begins, and this mod supposedly fixes that. It also adds more variations to strike craft, which is always fun.
