The map looks fantastic IMO, I just hope that some city graphics are going to be used.

Agree, but i don't think that will be included

Ah, but does the NDA allow you to acknowledge it's existence? Who knows, you might get in trouble from merely having made that remark... ;):D

If you haven't noticed from the FAQ, Patric has made over 40 percent of the official remarks on the game. :p ;)

Btw, there are no plans to change the appearance of the map.

Nice of you to hand over that information! :) The map-discussion has been going on too long with people saying "I love the map" or "I don't like the map" probably with a small hope of affecting wether Paradox was going to do some changes to the maps shown in the early screenshots or not. It's all about personal preferance, and now we (who would have liked to see the map a bit more like in EUII) just have to accept the map like it is. I still think it's going to be a great game though! ;)

IMHO the map should first and foremost be informative!
Showing: cities, industri, ressources, rails (when constructed), forts, extensive trench lines, weather, ongoing improvements (forts, industry etc., etc.).

And if some of that info is given with small icons in certain map modes - fine by me!

A man of controversies. You want the map to be informative, but don't mind if things are too small to see. What's the use of information, if it can't be delivered to the user.

I really can't see where Killerjes said that it's OK for him/her that the information-icons are too small to see. Killerjes just said that it's ok if the information is given with small icons - not too small.

The Map looks really great. I just hope there will be an option like in HoI with the political map. There's nothing more satisfying then watching the color of your country spreading after a conquest;)

I was just wandering: will it ever be possible to let administrative regions change?
I mean threw history certain regions/provinces merged or split up. For instance Brabant became Noord-Brabant and Belgium Brabant or Limburg was split in a Dutch part and a Belgium one (I suppose more people now examples from there background).

Flexible borders, depending on events, could be quite interesting. I guess it would be very time-consuming and complicated to program, but I would really like this option. Is it indeed that difficult to make this possible in any future game? (Like the new Victoria map set up as well)
