Question - Can an event/decision event modify your intelligence ratings or success?

I am thinking about the possibility of creating an event to be bundled in with the Events Cheats I've released with the help of others.

This event basically increases the ratings your counter and foreign intelligence, I'm pretty sure there is a number somewhere in the game which can be modified in-game to increase the chance for successful intelligence missions without resorting to the 'acceptall' cheat which if left on leads to strange games.

While I'm here, is it also possible for diplomacy to be modified in-game for more success?

You can use these in events. Replace "them" with "us" if you want to give a bonus to the player. X can be a negative value.

I don't think you can code events to give bonuses to specific types of missions or to diplomatic actions at this time.

Strange. Perhaps you should try a few more test operations with it. If you seem to be getting no improvement from the event then I'd suggest dropping the value of x down from 90 to 25 or so. it is possible that the value was too high.

It should work because all of the other commands from the tech tree work fine in regular events.

Hmm, after some number altering there was a change, no matter what the number inputted. I tried 25 for us and them, and there seemed to be a small change in operation chance. 1% in all of them to be precise. So I tested for a much larger number, 1000. Still, the only visual change was a few percent and still failed in the operation. The cheat only seems to work once, and once only, despite numerous event fires.

EDIT: Just attempted a 10,000 boost, and still only has a minor effect. There must be a coded limit, somewhere.
