Question about Vicky 2 onto steam.

Hi.
I bought Vicky 2 absolutly yonks ago (I think like V 1.1 or something) and didn't really understand what I was doing whilst playing it, but have more recently got into EU4 and CK2 and I thought since I currently have time off due to a broken ankle, I'd give it another go. The thing is, it isn't on steam, and as I run all of my games through steam (and would love the deals/auto-update stuff) on it, I just want to know whether or not it would be possible to activate my version on steam? Thanks,

If not, could I like message someone at Pdox with proof that I own it etc. (i dunno, like a picture of the box?) and the CD key and get a steam one? because then I would straight up love paradox forever and ever.

I'm in the same position as you (my Vicky 2 is from gamersgate.) They did a conversion a while back with CKII from gamersgate to steam. I don't know if they would do the same for Vicky 2 since it doesn't have nearly as much popularity as CKII. If they did, it would be amazing.

Because the only reason the GG version of CK2 existed at all was because a very vocal minority gave them the impression it would be a financially worthwhile manoeuvre, and they wanted to discontinue support for it because it was an ongoing waste of the company's money (less than 5% of total CK2 base game sales were for the GG version).

I don't know if they would do the same for Vicky 2 since it doesn't have nearly as much popularity as CKII. If they did, it would be amazing.

There really isn't any reason for them to expend any labour in respect of Vicky 2, given that Vicky 2 is comatose (you can still buy it, but there aren't going to be any more bugfix patches or content updates).
