Again and again I get a popup that Castile denies access to my merchants. But as far as I know I don't have any merchants there. The ledger has a red cross behind the Castile trading post and when I click on the province I can't remove my
merchants from there (I think because there are non?). Am I overlooking something? It's so annoying to get the pop up every month.

There's a small down side to an embargo, even if you don't have merchants in their CoT, or vice versa. Your merchants won't gain profit from that country's products in any other CoT as well, from what I understand. In most cases, that's a relatively trivial thing, but if they've got a dozen rich provinces that are within the sphere of some other CoT that you've got 5 merchants in, it could be a significant dip in trade income.
