Question about Title Revocation

If you pass Religion Revocation, can you revoke any title BUT religious ones don't need to be justified?

Or is it simply Religious ones.

Any title.

Religious Revocation allows you to grab all heretic/infidel held titles without incurring tyranny.

In short, you may as well pass the law when you have nothing better to do, because it's better than the alternative.

Not quite. For Christians, you cannot freely revoke titles from Christians of other denominations or from their heretics (for example, as an Orthodox you cannot freely revoke from Catholic or Cathar characters prior to mending the schism). I believe the same applies to the Indian religions, though I am not sure.

You can revoke an infidel's title with no problems.

You can also revoke titles normally, though it will invoke tyranny.

Don't expect your council to go along with it though. Something must be broken in the logic for that particular vote, no matter the position each member takes it's either "undecided" or "against" the vote for Religious Revocation. So, you'll probably have to fill the council with yes men or buy some favors/request support.

Regarding the council's attitude to revocation, it boils down to what dynasty they belong to and what their opinion of the target is. Zealots will generally support you in revoking from infidels; councilors tend to oppose revocation of titles from members of their own dynasty; glory hounds favor strong vassals so they'll oppose revocation of titles from them. Overall I don't find it hard to get the council to support revocation -- it's much rather title grants that they tend to oppose, particularly if you have unlanded councilors.
