Question about the in game command console

Hi, can anyone direct me to a how-to with commands to use the ingame console? I'm trying to manually fire some election events and change the Head of State and Government. I had imported a game from Revolutions, and I'm now in 1950, with FDR still President of the US with Garner as VP, and Kaiser Wilhelm II running Germany. For some reason the UK has George VI and Atlee though.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Press F12 to bring up the console, then simply type:

event #### XXX

#### is the event number, you can find this in the event files.
XXX is the country tag (GER for Germany, SOV for USSR, USA for USA etc.).

Ignore the XXX if you want to fire it for your own country, it's not needed for that.

Which event are you trying to fire manually?

You can't fire the same event twice unless it is random. It may still pop up, but it will not have any effect.

I'd like to get the Wilhelm II dies event, as well as the necessary elections for the US.

Assuming those work, I'd like the events for other relevant deaths for Germany (which is who I am playing as). I'm up to 1950 or so, and for the sake of historical accuracy (if you can call it that, when the Wehrmacht occupies Canada and India) there are some generals who should be dying pretty soon.

If it's a converted game, no events are accessable at all unless you manually add them to the save file.
