Hey, just a quick question about FTL, I see that you can choose one at the start Warp, hyperlane and wormhole. Is it possible to research the others later and eventuality have all 3? Say use warp for science and exploration, and hyperlanes and wormholes for military and civilian transport?

Thanks and if this has been asked and answered I couldn't find it.

I think it has been said that you could research other FTL methods by stealing another empire's technology. But I guess it's quite unlikely to get those FTL techs from the ship wreckages, although it's not impossible.

I think they have access to another warp tech in the Blorg Stream. But i'm not sure! But yeah, you can get access to more ftl tech by researching ship wrecks!

IIRC once you pick a FTL method, you're stuck with it.

EDIT: Here's the quote I read from the DD.
You do choose a single type of FTL at game-start and stick with it for the majority of the game. Ships can not mix or use several FTL-types at the same time. That said, what ancient fleets may lie buried and forgotten amongst the stars, sleeping and ready to be found?

IIRC once you pick a FTL method, you're stuck with it.

This is from the wiki. So i think you can get access to the other types as well but you can only equip your ships with one type at a time.

There are three types of FTL an empire can have access to but only one can be selected at any given moment. From the simplest to the most complex: warp, hyperspace and wormhole.
