Question about the Danzig event

So, I'm playing as Germany and everything is set for the war to begin. I waited for the Danzig or war event to trigger but nothing happened. 30 August went by and it never came. Poland was allied and I had Japan, Yugoslavia, Portugal and Hungary as axis with me at that time.

I know I can pop the event form console but I'd rather not.

Does anyone have any idea why Danzig or war won't trigger?

If you're at war, Own Danzig, or I believe backed down from any of the previous events you're boned. If Poland is your ally you're also messed but I think you mean he is in the allies, not allied.

Just dow yourself,, you lose Danzig as a core though

The way I read his post, I gathered that Poland was allied to him (Germany), then the Danzig Event will not fire.
The same apply if Austria is allied to Germany, then the Anslusch Event does not fire.

F12 for console, then type "event 2027"

event 2027 = Danzig or war -event
