I want to increase Hungaries manpower and also give them some tech. How do I do this? I've tried opening the save game with a text file but it looks a bit overwhelming!

Could anyone offer any advice.

Thanks

PS I tried to look for 'HUN' but nothing made sense.

Open the save game with a text file and search for "tag = hun."

When you get to the part of the save file that belongs to hungary, you can just search for the line "manpower" and that should take you right to it. Once you've already started a game, adding technologies if difficult. Simply adding the tech number into your researched techs list won;t work. You actually have to edit in all the effects of the new technologicla advance. That can be a long and tedious process depending on the number of and type f techs you want to edit in. If manpower is all you're looking for, just open the console "f12" and type "manpower". You instantly get 5000 manpower in your pool.

Open XXXX.eug, open search function (ctrl+F) write in country={ (I think)
hit enter, until you find HUN, and there should be a line manpower, mp or something like that. Change that number and save.

Or just search for the name of one of hungary's tech teams. That will get you exactly to their country information. Then scroll up until you find the resource listing and change the "manpower =" to a really high number.

Alternatively you can make it so it gets free manpower every turn. Under the free resources put "manpower = .5" The manpower gain will then be listed as "off-map production." I guess that means it's comming from a space colony or something since the entire world is on the map.
