You released an Ultimate Content Pack...
Does this pack mean the PS4 version is getting left behind?

Are we going to continue to see more DLC and addons to buy, and content updates for our game on the PS4?

Can't see it being left behind console is as upto date as PC except for concerts which was missed for some reason

You might find it's just a way of selling s bundle with dlc without it being confusing for any body looking to buy this game

Chances are if they do release another DLC it just simply won’t be included in the pack or it will be part of a different pack later down the line. It’s no indication that consoles are being “left behind” as we are other then concerts up to date with the PC version

I don't understand why you keep bumping this thread

Are you waiting for an official response ??

Good luck with that no way would they come out and say that's it for dlc on here

The console is as upto date as the pc except for concerts which is missing

any more dlc released I suspect it would be standalone as opposed to a season pass 3 etc etc unless they announce another round of dlc packs there probably isn't enough to warrant a full season pass

The same pack is available on Xbox as well so like I say it's just a way of allowing new players to buy all the dlc in one place and may well signal the end for cities 1 full stop

let's watch this space and enjoy what we have rather than worrying this is the end

Maybe cities skyline 2 will get an announcement soon although I doubt that either

Keep building and enjoy

Bump 5 (April 17)
I will reframe this.

I have had threads closed on the Steam forums because it doesn't belong there.
I'm really sick of this level of communication, you know?
At least the steam forum has actual activity. Don't you pay someone to do this?

DO you pay someone to do this?

If you get sick from it, you should leave it. Today health is above everything.

But you should be aware that this is a forum (of many games) in which no information MUST be given.

Why don't you look for contact in a more polite and more direct way? (Support ticket or email)

After all, several parties are responsible for porting to the console. (the company that encodes it for PS4 and Sony, for example.) And that's also about contracts and licenses.

Would you have the examples where an Ultimate Pack was released and the release was discontinued for console but not for other systems?

I don't HAVE to give information to you either. And I hate your attitude more than the lack of response from the developer.

I genuinely don’t understand what it is your actually asking PO/CO for?

If you want a comprehensive roadmap of all their future plans for the game to see if it’s worth buying the current ultimate pack then forget it it just won’t happen, they don’t need to tell us anything if they don’t want to.

As it stands at the moment this is a game with frankly a huge amount of added content and if they want to add more then great, if they don’t Then so be it.

If your worried that the PS4 versions is going to be left out and miss some add-ons that the PC and Xbox get then don’t worry as we are all currently on the same playing field bar 3 notable exceptions.

-PC has mod functionality which consoles do not beyond cosmetic mods

-PC has the Concerts DLC which may or may not be added to Console versions in a future update.

-Console has the first person driving walking and even flying if you pick the Seagull as the avatar to explore your city, PC does not and needs mods for this.

If your worried about buying the ultimate pack then having to pay extra for a new DLC in 6 months time then to be honest my friend it’s tough.

When I first started playing this game I bought the 1st season pass assuming I would get all future DLC like you would with most games so I was quite surprised when I had to buy season pass 2 to get the next batch. Even more surprised when Campus wasn’t included in said season pass! That’s just life I’m afraid. I was surprised, maybe a little annoyed to begin with but I love the game and want to support the Devs so I paid my dues and got some great content for my money.

Please don’t come on here and demand an answer to a question that doesn’t actually make any sense at all, bump your post continuously despite myself and other members of this community trying to help you with little to no feedback from yourself as to what the problem actually is and then blame the Devs for poor comms. They have very limited sized team and could well only have 1 or 2 people manning the social accounts plus the few community ambassadors on here who probably have no clue what paradox or colossal have up their sleeves for the future of CIties.

Plus we are in the middle of a damn pandemic so maybe they are taking time off to self isolate, look after family, kids etc. Just be patient and please ask your questions in a concise, polite manner and this community will do everything it can to assist you. That’s what this forum is all about.

Take care and stay safe

We've reached the one year anniversary.

At that time, I was worried that any additional DLC released for Cities: Skylines, a game that had 2-3 major DLC per year, would not come out for the console version, since it was touted as "ULTIMATE" and had a fixed list of DLC.

Nobody official ever mentioned my thread or commented on development.
Now, a year has passed.

And in that year, for the first year since launch, there has been no major DLC. Steam is content to mod-spotlight and play the harmonica.
And there's been no official reply.
So, then... the reason Paradox felt comfortable posting the ULTIMATE PACK was because the game was Done.

And there was no reply because Paradox ISN'T paying someone to do this.

I guess it's a little disappointing. I had a premonition it might be like this - that by posting an ultimate pack, they were subtly giving away the fact that "We're not going to work on this any more."

But it would have been nice to have a few more little things.
