I have been watching the last few WWW and there was a question from the viewers regarding the variants. Why both are not producing variants although they have such a high amount of combat experience.
The answer was, they would not loose the production efficiency.
Now my question is -> Has producing a variant of e.g. a tank as much impact on production efficiency as changing to a new model? For me it seems that producing a variant where everything is the same except the gun or the engine or some armor plates should not change the efficiency that much, as changing to a new model. So it would make sense for me to develop a model further which is already in field because of collected experience than switching to the new model.
Is there a difference in efficiency loss between changing to a new model than changing to a other variant?
