Hi everyone, I didn't play EU4 between 1.5 and 1.8, so coming back to the game now the Power Projection system is still new to me. I think I've got an adequate handle on it, except for PP from Diplomatic Insults. My understanding was that you got 5 PP from an Insult, it ticked down to zero, and at that point you could insult another rival and get another +5 bonus. However, in practice I'm not getting any PP when trying to "renew" the bonus like this. I will wait for the "Insulted rival" bonus in the PP dropdown tooltip to disappear, I will select a rival that I have not insulted yet and insult them, and . . . nothing happens. I've waited a few months further to see if it just needed to tick down more fully, or something sketchy like that, but no dice.
Am I missing something here? Or is it the case that you can only get a new PP bonus from a fresh insult after the original insult has worn off (i.e., after 10 years have passed, which in effect means you can have a >0 bonus from insulting a rival during 5 years out of every decade)?
