Hey,

Quick question I guess, I play basically every game of paradox. Like, eu4 ck2 vicky2 stellaris, w/e. And the thing that is the sickest about those games is the diplomatic systems.
My question is, will the new DLC allow for more diplomacy? I LOVE HOI4, I played HOI3 too. But the only thing I always find a little dissapointing is that whenever I get into a war, it cant be peaced out. Like in EU4 I can peace out of a war with a shit ton of treatie options. HOI4 always forces me to exterminate or lose completely. AI never really cares to white peace.
I get the whole world war premise, but if I am for example turkey and I just want to take over a part of iraq or a part of iran (or w/e) I dont have these options at all.

I know its a ww2 game and not intended to be like EU4 in that regard but you know.

Maybe Paradox could one day make my ultimate wet dream game tho of combining EU4 diplomacy and development with vicky economy and HOI4 combat systems. Heh.

Yeah, peace conferences are getting completely overhauled.
But to my understanding this is only a rework of what happens in these conferences and not so much (or not at all) when they happen. Apart from a few early exceptions (Italia vs. Ethiopia, SCW) and maybe highly ahistorical playthroughs (where no big alliances from), every war in HoI4 gets dragged inevitably into the Axis/Allies/Comintern alliance system (usually the defending site joins an alliance after being declared on). So unless I have missed something, that (needed and great, IMO) rework of peace conferences will not change this and so probably not solve the OPs issue with the game (the absence of "local conflicts" which can be locally solved on the peace table as well).

Sorry, about that I was just saying that there getting reworked. Honestly, I would like what they suggest simply because I'm not trekking across the world to kill the Germans because I declared on Iraq and they joined the axis, and then I don't get the land because other than killing Iraq I can't do anything so some kind of separate peace thing would be great.
