Question about Multiplayer

Hey everyone, I'm interested in buying HoI3 to play with my friend but I'm curious on how stable the multiplayer is in this series. I've played EU3/EU4 perfectly fine with him, however in Victoria 2 he gets unbearable fps problems while in a game with me (not sure if it's fps or ping, but he explained it as if the game is jittery).

I'm curious, before I buy HoI3 is it the same process to host a game like Viccy/Europa and is it stable/funtional?

I am by no means one of the more experience MP players around, but what games I have played with my brothers were perfectly stable for all three of us. I cannot compare it to the hosting process for Vicky or EU, since I have never MP'ed either of those.

With a group of 12 people with stable host and all other conenctions fine you might get away with 0 or 1 crash in 4-5 hours.

Mostly groups have however a few people with worse internet and crashes do appear more often.

Internet. We were in 3 different states at the time.

It would just me and 1 other friend, but yah I'm use to getting OOS in EU4 so this is to be expected haha.

You aren't likely to find anyone in this forum who is going to seriously try to talk you out of that.

True that. But really, only problem that occurs is OOS - Out of sync, and mostly happens in naval battles. Then, save game and rehost if you are at war. At peace, you can roll on some time and then rehost.
Overall, 1-2 rehosts per session we were on different continents.
