Question about HOI Platinum

Ok, I read that this comes with 1.06c and CORE. A couple of questions. Is CORE a must in the install or can it be installed without it? Is it the latest version of CORE? Can I use other mods like DAIM with HOIE? Btw, HOI2DD vet. Thought I'd look into the past.

Core gets installed along with HOI 1. They can be played seperatly however. There are icons for both.

Both Hoi 1 and Core will need to be patched to bring them to the latest versions. There is a whole thread somewhere on the proper patching order.

I think the order is Hoi 1.05 -> 1.06, followed by a couple Core patches.

Core 0.91 is more fun than vanilla HOI 1.06c (imho)

Additional HOI 1 mods can then be patched in on top of Hoi 1.06c.

There is but here it's called Super AI Bundle.

If you do install the super AI bundle it must be installed on a separate install of hoi1 as it will interfere with your other hoi1 mods like CORE.Do not mix them!It turns into a GFX nightmare!!

Any version of hoi1 must have the 1.06c patch applied to it except platinum as it is already part of it.

You should also add the fixitpack.
