I have noticed something about the listed growth rates. The actual growth does not match to what is displayed in the province information. Example: a level 5 colony with a displayed growth rate of 12%. (I am assuming that is supposed to be 12% per year.) That should be 1% per month. 1% of 500 is 5. So the colony should grow by 5 each month. But when I watch, it only grows by 1.
Larger cities show the same problem. A city of 14,000 with a growth rate of 8% should grow by about 93 per month { (.08/12)*14000 }. Instead it only grows by 9.
After observing various provinces and noting the actual population increase, it seems to be one-tenth the displayed rate with a minimum growth per month of 1 person. Has anyone else noticed this? Is there an explanation for it (other than someone misplaced a decimal in the code)?
All this is using the 1.09 English version.
