Playing as China, using the mechanic for integrating then annexing the warlords. After annexing Yunnan and also Guangxi, I still had a bunch of their units I'd taken as expeditionary units. Is this a bug? I was rolled back to 1.7.1, so if it was a bug, has it since been fixed? If not, please let me know. I did save the game file so I can submit a bug report.
I've noticed this before, back in 1.3, when I tried out the new mechanic for annexing puppets as USA. I'd beaten Japan and so I built them back up to annex them. When I did I wound up owning their navy which was still at sea and quite beat up. The divisions my Japanese puppet had been feeding me however ended up stateless, and just milled about, homeless in their own birthplace. If I annex something that had units, then those units should either (a) got to a government in exile if formable [not possible before 1.9, but it is doable now; (b) should just dissolve as if they toss off their uniforms and started walking home en-mass; (c) should become my units in the way Austria's forces and templates become Germany's. But I'm certain that regular annexation doesn't do that, whether you have cores on the territory or not.
Anyhow, I just wanted to know if it was a bug still in the system, or just another oversight to be put into the morass that is the "suggestions" thread. Thanks.
