Greetings!

Does anyone here have info or a link to how the converstion between Victoria:Rev and Doomsday work?

For example:

How is the number of IC in Doomsday related to the number of factories I have in Vicki. Is there a converstion rate? Like for every 1 factory I get 1 IC?

What about the resources of the provinces? Are they tied to the size of the RGO?

The tech teams, are they tied to my science level? If so, how come that I as Sweden have he highest tech level in the world still have mediocre texh teams in HoI: Doomsday?

Just curious about the numbers and how it actually works..

Tech teams I know are tied to research level... you get better tech teams when you export if you have researched further in those fields. Moreover, research a lot of Navy techs, and you'll get good navy doctrines and tech teams that will help in that sense.

I don't usually convert games, but I know this because someone asked similar questions a while ago, and it was answered by someone else haha!

So yeah... I'm just repeating that.

Not sure about the other things though... as I say... don't really convert games over myself.

Well Ive researched all techs available in the game so I guess I should have super tech teams.. but I dont really..

Now, anyone else know about the factory -> IC thing and the RGO -> Resource thing?

IC does have a relation to the number of factories. I'm not really sure what the relation is though. In a recent game as Canada is decided to export and see what it did. Canada had over 400 IC while London (UK) had 100IC in the one province. Russia had 12 IC in total. This in a game where the UK was #1 industrial power and Canada #2, and where Russia had completely collapsed early on and never recovered.

Unfortunately resources seem to be based of the standard 1936 scenario rather than the game exported from and my Canada went from supporting all it's own industry to a mere 40 ICs worth

So, I have been trying to sort out the conversion thing. I think the number of factories isn't as relevant as the number of factory spots- that is a level 3 factory provides 15 IC (5 workers per level). I haven't actually compared exact numbers, but when I look at my 137 factories turning into something like 450 base IC's, it seems pretty close to the total number of levels of factory space that I have.
As far as resources go, its harder to tell, because there isn't an identical province layout between the two games. The state of your RGOs does impact your output in HOI. I loaded up my conversion, and germany was producing close to 1000 energy/day in 1936. In the non-conversion start, germany produces about 275 energy/day in 1936.
As far as tech teams, I also think that is related more to the types of factory and their level, as opposed to research levels. I had completed all levels of research in Vicky, but in the conversion to HOI, my practical application tech teams were suckfest-1936- as opposed to my Doctrine tech teams- which were many and awesome. It was pointed out to me in the HOI forum, that the practical tech teams were probably related to types of factory. So I looked, and confirmed that with my massive small arms industry in Vicky, I had acquired in HOI a small arms tech team that I had not seen before, and it was pretty good. Oppose this to no automobile, or tank factories, and only one airplane factory (lev1), my corresponding tech teams were abysmal. The exact numerical correlation is still a total mystery to me.

Interesting. Perhaps the resource output is also connected to the number of rgo slots. Playing as Canada I didn't expand RGOs at all, and got the standard level of resource production. Perhaps the resources are some function of the standard for the HoI2 1936 scenario and the level of the RGO.

I dont know about the RGO thing, in my game as Sweden I expanded all RGO:s in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland to have space for 45 pops... I still seemed to produce the same amount of resources in HoI2 as in a normal game.

Also, I spent ALOT fo money building new factories and expanding existing ones just to see if I could get a crazy amount of IC as Sweden, I had exported a game earlier where I finished but only had about 50 factories in total, and my IC in HoI2 seemed to be around 140.
In this new game I built like crazy and I had about 15 factories in every area (like 130 in total), some of them level 6 or 7 and some level 1, yet I still seemed to only have 140 IC as Sweden after I converted.

This might be really off, but its a guess..

Maybe its not the level of the RGO that matters, but the amount of people you have working the RGO?

So if you have a level 10 RGO in a province but only one pop is working its only going to count as 1 in the converstion, might be same for factories even, that it doesnt matter how many factories you have, just how many factories you have which are producing something?

Im going to make a test of this when I get home.

I'm pretty sure IC-conversion works like this. At conversion the total industry score of the world is added up, Your industry score is then divided by this to see what amount of worlds industry is yours. This number is then multiplied with the total number of world IC in the 1936 scenario. So your fraction of world industry score is the same as your fraction of world IC. As to tech teams, I think how large your factories are and how much they produce of what goods have a bearing but I'm not as sure.

No, this has been disscused before, the amount of resources is always the same as in the 1936 scenario no matter what you do since the total amount of IC in the world is the same as in the 1936 scenario.

Now you metion this... I seem to remember something like this being mentioned before as well. Like... the industrial score just remains proportional to as it was, with the IC shared equal to those proportions as they were.
