Question about empire laws

Im the emperor of hispania and i've got conquered france,britannia, africa and some other stuff. I own the titels for those kingsdoms with the stated areas.

So my question is if I change the law on the empire of hispania does that effect the duchys and counties in france and england? or do i haveto change those aswell in the crown laws respective of those areas?

My other question is what effect does it have if I change the law on the empire of hispania and own the kingsdoms within hispania( spain/portugal)? Do i haveto change those seperetly or what?

Your empire laws are only for de jure lands. So whatever is de jure follows the empire laws. If it is not de jure say like Africa then it wll follow its own kingdom laws.
