Question about claiming thrones, and PUs.

Hello,

In my current game, I am trying to get in a PU with Bradenburg as Prussia; and I need helps with the steps I have to follow.

I have already a marriage with them, I forged documents with my spy, and I claimed their throne while they had low legitimacy.
I subsequently declared war on them with the Claim Throne casus belli and, after occupying all their provinces, I dont see a "personal union" option in the peace deal when I ask for a tribute.

Am I missing something?

It should be in the last section, where you can ask for a concession of defeat, vassalization, forced conversion, etc.

This probably isn't a problem, but did you use the CB? Sometimes people forget to actually click on the appropriate one.

Hi, after checking, I can tell that the option does not appear in the third pannel. I am also sure I picked the casus belly, as it is a "war to claim the throne Bradenburg"

I notice that Burgundy is also claiming their throne, could that be it?

There are bugs associated with multiple people having claims and PU wars. You may want to post in the tech support subforum.

There's also a possible bug with the target of union not being the war leader anymore. If that's the case, it's no longer possible to claim the throne in this war.

Also if your king died during the war you can't use the Claim Throne thingy to settle the war anymore.

No, my king is still alive. Bradenburg is not the war leader though... I'll post a bug report.

There's also a possible bug with the target of union not being the war leader anymore. If that's the case, it's no longer possible to claim the throne in this war.

I think I saw somewhere that if this is the case you can force the PU when making peace with the war leader (the PU is with the original target, not the new leader). I could be wrong, though.
