Question on reconquest CB

I have a reconquest CB on the province of Brandenburg (BRB) which forms the kingdom of BRB together with Ruppin (on which I don`t have a core). So attacking BRB would result in taking Ruppin (and perhaps making BRB my vasall). Can I use the reconquest CB to attack BRB although I can't take the core in the first war? Do I have to take Ruppin in a No-CB-war before using the reconquest CB to get my core and the effects of the CB? Is it worth to vassalize BRB and to wait for dipl annex?

BRB is Brabant , Brandenburg is BRA

And it's perfectly OK not to take the core that actually gave you the reconquest CB. But realize that taking other province does come at a hefty Infamy price. Still it's better than taking the stab hits from a no-CB war.

I had a similar issue in my Bavaria game. I took on of Palatinate's provinces that was separate from the others as part of a mission, but eventually I got a mission to take the Two province Palatinate's capital. The CB only gave me the infamy reduction for the capital. I decided to force-vassalize and wait for the diplo-annex in my situation. I wish I could have just forced them to move their capital.
