Howdy folks!
I purchased the Sons of Abraham DLC a month or so back, but since my ongoing games did not have it enabled, I did not get around to installing it until now. Will I be able to continue my existing saves with this hitherto disabled DLC active?
I started up my old saves and they loaded properly and seem to work. For example, when I start playing my 1300 Roman game, I get messages about the Brotherhood of the Holy Sepulchre and the Bektashi Order forming. When I load my Catholic save, I can see the college of cardinals-- which is empty, aside from one cardinal that the game added after running for a day or two. Will the other seats fill up with time, and will the new papal succession work instead of the old system of randomly generating a lowborn? I also get a message informing me that Mazdaki is the new orthodoxy of Zoroastrianism, which is a feature that was added by Sons of Abraham. The reformed pagan holy orders are searchable in the title finder, although there are no holders owing to the religions not being reformed in these save games.
The intrigue menu shows events related to the Jews (loans/expulsion) and I am able to play as a Jew (with decisions to form Israel, etc). I can also take loans from Templars or expel holy orders, or go on pilgrimage as a Christian.
All in all, from a glance it looks like everything is working, but is there anything that could possibly be broken?
I'm using the 2.0.4 (Sons of Abraham/pre-Rajas of India) patch for the saves in question.
