So first things first, if you don't have this quest the following is spoilers~~
So I currently doing the quest "Carving The Path" for Disfavored which has the player attempt the end the Edict of Stone. So I go to talk to Radix to continue the quest when I find Cairn's body. My includes myself, Barik, Verse, and Sirin. So Radix is explaining that Cairn is basically in a coma and that the Earthshakers are doing 'things' to him. While Radix is explaining this to me, I get a pop up "Gained Fear with Sirin" and then Sirin interjects that I shouldn't let them do 'this'. This makes no sense to me as this is first time I am seeing this and am in middle of having it explained to me.
We're now getting to end of the conversation and Radix tells me that they can kill Cairn BUT they also want to sap away his powers. The problem is is that doing will make the Azure barren. Now BOTH Sirin and Verse and telling me that this is a bad idea and Barik is all like "well Cairn is Disfavored property so f*ck the people who live and the Chorus because they happen to be nearby". I am now presented with TWO choices (I know it's just the TWO I turned on the game option that show me otherwise). Option 1: Sometimes bad things happen in war and you can't control it, go ahead and make this place barren. Option 2: Verse, stop being stupid, this is an awesome idea.
Now here comes what I'm assuming is a bug. If I pick Number 1, Verse Gains Fear and if I pick Number 2, Barik Gains Fear. Barik. The guy who thinks this is a 'totes' great idea gets salty at me. I mean for one thing, even if I agree with the idea that Barik would get mad (even though it makes no sense in context) it still shouldn't be the games response when I'm addressing Verse.
SIDE NOTE: The fact that I could not tell these guys "No, stop torturing the guy and this plan is going to ruin the land" was so infuriating because during the Conquest part of character Creation, I WENT to AZURE and after Cairn messes up the land, you can make the Earthshakers fix it, which I did, because I believed that Kyros wouldn't want to conquer a barren wasteland. Also I felt bad for the people and in the end, it didn't feel like it mattered because the Edict of Stone happens. But my character is already of disposition to NOT to go along with this plan and I was forced to made me very disappointed.
TL;DR: "Gain Fear" on allies in situation that doesn't make sense. Also I sad when the quest didn't meet my expectations.
*wrote this after staying up all night and just realized I wrote "fair" instead of "fear" in the title.
