Hi,

Some quests ask you to create a line between Point A and Point B and sometimes Point C.

Do I need to create a straight line service (bus only) going from Point A to Point B? Or, Can I use combination of bus and metro service between Point A and Point B?

Also, one quest ask to connect Point A,B,C. I built a metro line 1 from Point A to Point B and a metro line 2 from Point A to Point C. The quest could not be completed.

Is this how it should be done?

Thanks

In these quests you need to build one line that covers all places.
As soon as the quest is over, you can delete the line if you want.

Too many of those "connect points A+B+etc." quests are impossible to do as an actual operate-able line. Mostly because the distance between the points is so huge that the only possibility would be to build a metro that would cost 50000 or something. Usually the best thing you can do is create a temporary bus line to complete the objective, collect the bonus and remove the line.

What's worse are the 'drop x passengers off at the church' missions.

I swear I dropped off 20,000 people directly in front of the damn thing but only 1 out of every thousand seems to find his way in.

Kill those missions, for the love of god.

This should be changed. The missions are only good for 1 thing: get extra money without making a loan. I leave a very cheap bus in the "yard" just to make those missions, so I don't have to buy a new one each time.
See the missions as easy way to get money and that's it. I don't keep any of the mission lines, because they are unprofitable.

That's because the game will only count who actually go to the church. If the passenger leave at the church stop but go to another place he is not counted.

I know, that's what so annoying, I can have that stop at the doorstep, but only like 1% of them go there. Takes forever.

Mission like "connect A to B with direct line" doesnt make any sense. People will create temporary line and delete them after taking the bonus. It would be much more rewarding if the mission was "please connect A to your network, and keep the line open for 1 year". And this could be event better, like "please connect my house with a tramway, and my office with a metro to the same network". Those kind of missions could really change the map of my network.

Or at least that "connect A to B" mission would be achievable with any number of connections.

Agreed. As they are now they are a waste of time. I save them til the end and do them with a chopper or bus all at once.
Connecting locations to the network makes much more sense.

First post, but I totally agree with this.

I actually find some of them helpful because they help me think of ways of fulfilling the task while making it a useful line, but some of them are just pure BS. I especially hate the ones where some random person wants me to connect their tenement on the edge of the map to an office or church or whatever on the other end of the map with one single line.

WTF? Who do they think they are? Royalty?
