A few things I've noticed over the past 15 hour marathon.

-Scroll through planets/spaceports. I've got a bunch that are now in sector capitals, and it's just a wee bit faster if I can cycle through them with left/right buttons a la Civ/Total War city management. The other option is to make space stations viewable in the ledger separate from core planets.

- Army/Fleet builder, as in EU IV. Man, that would save so much time. Right now, dividing my build queue among my spaceports, then gathering them together is a bit of a pain. Much better if we can set a rally point, then go into a menu with the spaceports and select however many of the ship we want to construct. Either in a template, or think Victoria's 2 fleet/army menu. Additionally, the EU IV method of adding x amount of a unit would be very nice.

- I wanna view what PoP I've got loaded into a colony ship. I'm forgetful, and kind of forget after building it what world type I was planning to colonize. Maybe a quick mouseover the ship icon would give the species and it's traits?

- Renew trade deal? Again, I'm forgetful, when the deal expires, could you click the tooltip and it'll take you to the contacts tab with the same deal?

That's it for now. Anyone else got their own?

And be able to scroll in and out of the Galaxy/System map seamlessly. Pressing 'e' is ok, but scrolling ... so much better.

Changeable construction queue in spaceports.
You started the colony ship but need a corvet quickly? You can't change the order, you can only quit the colony ship and have to start at 0.
Maybe give us a limit of 3-5 queue space. A space station won't have that many docks where they can put the unfinished vessels.

Federation/Alliance map mode. From watching the stream I noticed it's really confusing and requires a lot of clicking around to figure out who's in an alliance/federation.

1. Could I have an icon which tells me where my embassies are, please? I'm a pacifist so I get lots of them, and I keep forgetting where I've sent them. I had an ambassador going to a primitive species once for thirty years because I sent them there for what was supposed to be a brief trip, and forgot to un-assign them afterwards.

2. Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the greatest military power of them all? Seriously, telling me this straight out would save me some work. I have to go down each empire on the diplomatic list and mouse over the "relative power" field to see it. If there was an option to sort the list by deadliest person in space, I would be grateful.

3. I've got 1000 Energy and want to buy some Minerals. Who's selling? HoI3 has a nice list that shows you who's got goods for export. This isn't secret information: I can find it out by manually talking to every empire and offering them a trade, but I would really rather not go to that much effort.

3. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD ADD A COMPONENT COMPARISON UI. Many games (mmorpgs for example) have a UI that will show you the stats of your selected item side by side with the stats of your equiped item, some will even highlight the differences for you so you don't have to do the math. Adding this to the game would vastly improve the ship editor.

TEN MILLION TIMES THIS!!!!

Adding ships directly to existing fleets, build orders from there. I guess we'll be given this in a future DLC.

I doubt this will happen but I'm rather shocked at the way map zoom works. I expected a smooth transition between galaxy and star system. It is rather jarring having to press a button all the time because I'm going back and forth a lot across my empire.

I would strongly suggest that the tech for Colony Ships be a starting technology. When I started my first game, the AI helper (Jarvis..comeon, its Jarvis) told me to research the Colony tech, I was a bit overwhelmed at the start so I wanted to explore a bit more and build up mining outposts first, so I took a +1 Influence tech instead.

Once it finished, I had planned out to take the Colony Ship tech, but it wasn't even there...5 techs later, I could choose it again.

Yes, you could say: dumb you for not taking it first, but with Colony Ships being such an important part of the game, that means this Tech is the #1 most important tech, and you eliminate all other techs. So why even have it as an option, if the other choices are irrelevant.

Therefor I suggest you start with this tech instead, you are still required to gather 350 minerals, which usually happens after you finished the tech anyways.

1. What are the keybinds?
2. Make federations more unique with new decisions, votes, technologies, federal capital (for extra influence), ethic votes, rival votes, etc
3. Better lists as per above. Military and mineral data.
4. Ship component comparison.
5. Diplomacy map view
6. Auto survey
7. One click colonisation send the nearest available colony ship. Rather than having to click on the ship and go to the planet.
8. Same as 7 but with constuctors.

That's all for now

As much as I want this, I think its a neccessary performance compromise, meant to limit rendering. That said, I'd rather I could out of a system at least.

Hmm, yeah you probably right, didn't consider that. Ah, well, it's just a minor thing anyway.

Yes. I think (and hope) that the ship design feature is going to be improved on with future patches/DLC's. At this point it's good enough, but I think it will be fleshed out more still. It'd be nice to a have a little more variation in ship appearances too, just one for each race seems a little bland.

But there will always be Mod's as well....

Survey Debris in System....we have a survey system option, but when you've just wiped out a dozen small fleets, it would be nice to be able to just tell your survey ship to mop it all up.

Better ways to find your Pops. Or when trying to colonize offer a way to order a colony ship of the appropriate pop. The tooltip is nice to tell you that the X-aliens you have in your empire would fit nicely on this world you want to colonize, but where are they? I end up having to click through and search for them on every planet. Even worse when you start genetically modifying your pops. "Where'd my desert loving buddies go?"

For me:
- the game does a poor job of showing progress.
In MOO, there was a periodic 'GNN' announcement which showed the relative strength of the empires in various statistics. I'd like to see something similar in stellaris. Comparing military strengths etc. is silly/annoying/fiddly.
- the game does a poor job of answering the question 'where'.
There are 8 planets with rare creatures. To find out where they are I need to go to the log, toggle them on, and then hunt around the map for the icons.
Similarly, I've found a rare object. To find out where that system is, I need to hunt the map for the name. Alternatively, I can click the camera icon... but that zooms me into the system, so I still need to zoom back out to find out where the system is.

After doing either of those, I need to scroll back to where I was beforehand... it's fiddly.

Otherwise:
- if you double click on a system, it unselects your current unit. This can be annoying.
- pressing shift lets you add instructions to the end of the current unit's queue. Ideally, there would be a button to add an instruction to the start of the queue. (basically 'scan this wreckage and then carry on with your orders').
- if a unit automatically flees/evades combat, then that unit's entire queue is cancelled...
- if a unit is on 'do not engage' then it will still happily route itself through a star with a known enemy unit in it.

(if the last 2 are resolved then you could queue up exploration).

Info on how colony capitals work when establishing a colony. It was annoying to have to go with half-remembered stream info and search through the wiki for the relevant info.

I'm not sure this is in game yet, but it's very important:

1. The ability to make ship designs obsolete AND to choose to which design to upgrade ships. What if I want to create 5 types of Corvettes and delete the auto generated one? How will the game know to which it upgrades?

This isn't EU4 Paradox, for god's sake! It's not like we can have only one active infantry type and everything gets upgraded to that...

2. It seems the most efficient ship design is one that has 0 power left(so everything is used up). My suggestion is to give some bonuses to all stats when excess power is available (like to a maximum of 10%, 1% for each power point not spent).

3. Give us more color options in the race logo screen. For example there is no true yellow(!?!?).
