Being able to select a range, province set, or area to auto-engage rebels would be nice, too.
I was going to post this too earlier, but then I thought with the new rebel system, I'm not so sure I need auto rebel hunting anymore. It should be apparent where they will emerge, and since we can actively try to appease them before they rebel, we can even hope to prevent them.

Ok, by "actively" I mean "push a button". And I'm making an assumption based on what I saw in the livestream that dealing with rebels might be something that can be handled prior to breakouts. And I also haven't seen anything that says we won't get events for rebels (just that the ones spawning from revolt risk won't happen). So I'm not sure that the way I see it is right, but I'm sort of hoping it is the case.

Can we 'assume direct control' of our subjects armies? Because that would be really great.

I for one would welcome this feature with open arms, it would make it so much easier to orchestrate such complex attacks by my armies if the game paused when they arrived at their specific location, there would be no need to spam the play/pause button in an attempt to keep things under control.
Wait a minute, complex attacks? This is eu4, the complexity of the attacks is 'get all your troops and attack all theirs'

- Auto pause when particular army/fleet reaches its destination
YES! This one is really needed.. Reason i dont use current one is because it applies to all armies, so if 1k unit reaches destination, it pauses game which is more annoying that useful..

- Larger peace/diplomatic windows. (This is partly addressed by mods, but only from certain resolutions.)
I think those should be implemented
This one is needed too, it should be fixed by developers not by modders.

Save the order of topics in the outliner.

So, if I adjust my outliner to show e.g. merchants, diplomats, colonists, colonies, coring, missionaries, ... then it should appear like this after reloading and not completely mixed up.

My top priorities would be :
- ability to mark certain army (with a button in the army screen or with a shortcut) to inform me that they arrived at their destination. I have tried the message warning that is already in the game but it is a complete mess when you do that - you get drowned in unwanted notifications.
- ability to queue "join into stack" command as a move command. Gathering up my 1 stacks after production (especially with the arrival message turned on) is a lot of unnecessary micromanagement.
Now ones borrowed from others in this thread:
- an alert flag when you have navies with no move orders that are taking attrition. Preferably going from green to red as their durability drops, but even one flag would be good.
- Save the order of topics in the outliner
- Larger peace/diplomatic windows. (This is partly addressed by mods, but only from certain resolutions.)
I think those should be implemented
- A goto option when a general dies so I can re-general the army.
- Option to designate custom auto-pause dates, possibly with tags as well (...) (copied from the first post)
- queue for building
- the + expand portions of the diplomacy interface to retain their settings between games

More options to toggle in the outliner. As it is it is an essential tool for properly managing large (and not so large) realms, but it tends to get bloated towards the end game, therefore a major QoL-improvement would be the following options for the sidebar:

1. Suggestion: Implement the ability to only view armies and navies above a certain size in the outliner - either give us the opportunity to specify a threshold ourselves, or more realistically, set a toggleable option to view armies/navies but only above a fixed size (e.g. 10 regiments / 10. ships).
Reason: Late game the outliner gets overcrowded because of various small fleets and armies, which I keep around on colonial protection duty, or as a rebel task force, or as part of a carpet siege, and it just explodes when constructing a new army, because, before I merge the regiments, I suddenly have 25 1-regiment armies. I have no interest in keeping tabs on these armies, but if I want to view the armies that are actually campaigning in the outliner, then I have to have these in the outliner as well, leading to extreme bloating.

2: Suggestion: Allow us to toggle a navy-view, where we only view navies that are not protecting trade.
Justification: Same as above, usually, I have no need to keep tabs on my trading navies, they trade automatically, and when war breaks out they automatically seek safe habour, but I cannot view my actual combat-navies in the outliner, without viewing my trading navies also, which leads to bloating.

Also another suggestion, not related to the outliner:

3: Give us rally-points, please! They work like a charm in Vicky2, and their lack just seem to force unnecessary micro.

Oh, and by the way, I should point out that the reason I care so much about the outliner, is that it is already a tremendously useful tool, it would be great, if it could be even better.

I'd like to see more bindable hotkeys. Open mission interface, open military interface, hotkey-select armies or navies (bindable like control groups in RTSes), etc. The game needs to use the mouse a lot, which feels rather inefficient and archaic.

Absolutely.

I'm tired of getting the popup that a "ship is lost" only to find out that it wasn't just one ship...but 25.

For navies and armies we could use a button to hide those who are on a automatic mission, Trade, Patrol or hunting rebels.
