Since the last thread like this died half a year ago and most of the stuff in it has/is being addressed already/at the moment I decided not to necro it and post a new one. So if you have some QoL improvements that you'd like to see in the future patches post them here please. I'll try to collect them in the first post over the time, so please check it before posting. Future discussion on the suggestions is still welcome even after they are on the list.

(So to me my biggest one would be an option to auto-pause on event message pop-ups. I sometimes tend to run the game in windowed in the background while I do something else. It's annoying to notice that my 6/6/4 heir has died due to a plot for not sending my Regent to the salt mines or something similar.)
Is addressed in 1.8

And for the same reason option to auto-pause on specific dates, with a tag for the reason of the auto-pause. For the same reason as above, since we can't at the moment make the game auto-pause when a truce expires for example.

- Option to designate custom auto-pause dates, possibly with tags aswell.
Other new auto-pause options
- Manpower below/above a certain value
- Truce with <country> expires
- Monarch points (specific category) above a certain value
- Construction complete in a particular province
- Money below/above a certain threshold
- Particular army/fleet reaches its destination

- Option to create custom key bindings.
- Ability to que buildings construction
- Larger peace/diplomatic windows. (This is partly addressed by mods, but only from certain resolutions.)
- Ability to customise order in which information appears in the outlier. Also the ability to divide on both sides of the screen. (Some of us got quite large screens.)
- Ability to determine which units to receive a popup when they arrive to their destination. For example a checkbox similar to what the navies have as return home in the case of war.
- Message option to inform me when one of my subjects has a rebel uprising.
- Ability to chase enemy armies.
- Option to prevent captured ships from attaching to your fleets.
- A Pause button/shortcut (Not pause/unpause one, just pause, single action) This would be nice. There's been several times that I've hit to pause the games at the same time as the game pauses itself and unpaused as a consequence, which in some situation has been quite fatal to some of my troops.
- Fix tooltop overflow off screen. (Adjust tooltips so that when overflow would happen to show it in two collums for example.)
- Ability to directly control your units. (Might be abit exploitable and AoW is already addressing this in my opinion)

In Ironman: reload button (where "load button" is normally).
It should work as "save and load", same as quiting and getting back. There are a few bugs that are fixed with reloading game, and there certainly will be in next patch also (sorry, Wiz, but there no point in pretending that EU will ever be bug free. From EU I to EU IV this series is buggy)
EDIT: Oh, also: set a default name of a new IM game as the name of a country. Small thing, but it would be nice.

I want the Bigger Diplomacy Mod to become standard issue.

And I want the + expand portions of the diplomacy interface to retain their settings between games. Why do I still have to right click a random nation and expand every stupid button the moment I load things up? For that matter, why is there no Expand ALL spot?

Erm... what? I will assume it's a joke (or I didn't understand smth)
It's nothing big really to be honest, just a personal preference. I for one, find non-European nations to be very tedious and inept due to their lower technology and cultural levels, so a game without them would vastly improve my gaming experience. I'm not saying it should be a forced feature but it should definitely be optional for people to select. Imagine all that uncivilized, uncolonized land ready to be snatched up by the hungry Europeans. Another feature they should implement is that if more than 4 European nations have a claim to a certain amount of land they could partition it like what was done during the scramble for Africa.
africa2.gif

expect this time it's Milan, The Hansa, Brittany, Prussia and Sweden partitioning China.

It is something more suitable for a mod.

-Option to designate custom auto-pause dates, possibly with tags aswell.

I'd go a step (or three) further and allow the player to create their own custom notifications/alerts based on a large variety of conditions, for example:

- Manpower below/above a certain value
- Truce with <country> expires
- Monarch points (specific category) above a certain value
- Construction complete in a particular province
- Money below/above a certain threshold
- Particular army/fleet reaches its destination

That's what comes to me off the top of my head, I'm sure others could think of more uses. Default behaviour when a condition is met would be to popup & pause.

He is just a troll. Please ignore it.
Sorry but I wasn't aware that having an opinion on improving the game counted as trolling, yes I would go as far to say it is a quite drastic and game changing feature but it's not nonsensical. There have been several mods previously that are similar to what I suggested e.g the Dark Continent bookmark on the EU3 Misc Mod. I just thought it would add a little bit of fun and randomness to the game to make it more enjoyable. Anyway your entitled to your own opinion so I don't really mind.

He's an immensely dedicated troll. Just read his posts in the "Why Nerf Hordes More?" thread to get an idea. He's just trying to invoke rage. Ignore him, and he'll probably get bored and go away.
