Hello. There should be an implementation in the grand strategy games. At least Europa universalis - that allows you to select an A.I to run certain parts of your game if you choose.
For example. You can select a button to have A.I control your navy/army (or a grouped selection).... Or you can have an A.I automatically spend money upgrading buildings or spending research points...
Because of course the early and mid part of a grand strategy is micromanaging is part and parcel the game, but late game adds extreme tedium micromanaging when you don't really need to.

For example in many games, by late stage. I purposely make a vassel/March state very strong just so they can fight my battles for me. Because paradox A.I can be extremely annoying if you're more powerful then your opponent. (Enemy constantly running back and forth, you have to micromanage to chase them everywhere)

and it wouldn't be too hard to implement because you can use the existing computer (enemy) A.I as framework.

Like you can set an A.I to automatically look after your navy/army on a specific budget you set. And then selecting a [style] similar to that you set with vassel states [defensive/siege/aggressive, etc]... They will train units themselves within the stated budget and you can put them In certain areas.... useful in the new world when you're extremely overpowered yet still have to constantly move guys around.

Great idea on paper, but Paradox has been down this road before (see HoI3, and more recently Stellaris sector A.I.) and the results were not pretty. I'm not a programmer, but my understanding is that adding A.I. manager features to the game is quite difficult to pull off successfully.
