EDIT: Added numbered sections for easier reading. You can skip straight to them if you rather skip the intro.
As the game is now when you go to war a shield of the war-leader's flag appears with the current war-score at its bottom. The purpose of the system is to give you at a glance a rough idea of the war progress. As helpful as it is not all wars are meant to be fought to 100% and you will find yourself every so often opening the peace deal screen as if to check 'are we there yet?' with regards to your goals.
I would like to suggest enhancing this system by adding a 2nd indicator for QoL purposes. I believe it would help smoothen the experience and remove unnecessary clicking and opening of the peace screen deal [which in late game wars can lead to performance issues when warring with continental empires]. Hopefully this can also be used in some way to reduce the AI spamming its unwanted peace deals.
1. In addition to the Current war-score at the bottom of the shield add another value at the top of the shield. This value will represent the Needed war-score [at that moment] for the AI to accept peace deals. The Needed value will tick down as the war progress [in your favor or simply stagnates towards white peace].
2. When the Needed value is equal [or lower] than the Current value the shield will be highlighted to let the player know the AI is ready to accept peace offers. At this point the Needed value can change to an icon indicating the type of peace deal the AI is ok with. At first it will be a white flag icon [for a white peace] and as the war goes on it can change to a coins icon [for monetary concessions] and so on.
3. The system can be further improved upon by tying it to war demands [provinces, humiliate, trade transfer etc.]. If you have set war demands the Needed value will take that into account [meaning it will be higher than what is needed for white peace]. In case your current demands somehow exceeded 100% the value will change into a red X mark to indicate the AI will never accept those terms at any point. In case your demands are fine and you have achieved enough war-score for the the peace deal, but there is something specific preventing the AI from accepting, it will change to indicate that. For instance, an icon of a fort with red diagonal line over it for unoccupied fort near a province you want.
4. After all the conditions for your demands are met the icon will change into a green V mark [this icon appears only when the player sets demands so not to get confused with AI peace offers]. At this point you can open the peace screen deal for further analysis or to send it right away [optional quick-send by clicking the mark].
Any thoughts on the matter and further ideas for improvements would be appreciated.

Based on the above comment by a fellow forumite I came up with a little QoL idea for the peace deal system. The war-score % on the shield should be replaced by the max war-score peace deal the AI is willing to give.
