I know this does not sound a lot but after you declare a war, you cannot declare another war for one month. This can be troublesome if you are playing extra slow, getting tens of popups every day and you kind of forget the date that you declared the war. You can check the logs and find out the day you did that but instead we can have a tooltip when we hover the mouse on the disabled confirm button on the declaration of war screen to tell us not just why we cannot declare war but also when we can.
Similar behavior is observed in the game like if you don't have a missionary, you just see that "you don't have a missionary and cannot select" and all the valuable info is hidden. Opposite examples exist like if you want to upgrade Trade Centers, it shows all the info and then tells you why you cannot do that. I hope this approach is followed in more places where possible.
I think the peace deal window can show the date the war has begun.
