We have updated our Community Code of Conduct. Please read through the new rules for the forum that are an integral part of Paradox Interactive’s User Agreement.
I think there might be as many as three active, but if you include those that have stopped but were active in Q3 there is still enough to fill out a ballot. For reference as of right now I think there are only four Vic2 AARs eligible for Q3. Of course the quarter is far from over so that may change, but equally it may also change for Vic3.
As a bit of data never hurt decision making I'd had a quick look at the previous rounds and there is an odd coincidence. In the two previous rounds since Vic 3 came out, both times Vic2 and Vic3 had 5 AARs nominated, so neither are particularly busy but equally both have had full rosters the last two rounds.
Overall I think keeping them separate for now is probably justified, if nothing else there is the hope that the continued existence of the award may encourage someone to start up a new Vic 3 work.

I admit I struggled a bit with Vic3 voting because there are so few right now, but I had no trouble filling out the four from the available AARs. It's just a matter of looking.

Thank you for saying this, I somehow missed this and currently the good Pip has 3 votes, which will have to be deleted.[ETA - I desperately wanted to vote for @El Pip's The Butterfly Effect but sadly there was no update between April and June - aka the quarter that we are voting on.

Results!
People and man-women! The results are in! many were the votes, many were the nominees! Worthy writAARs and stories have been inducted into the Q2 2023 ACAs!
In the venerable Europa Universalis IV category twelve AARs got a nod, with @coz1 and @Revan86 taking the shared first place, with five votes each. On shared second place, with three votes each, comes @Bullfilter and @ibicko , followed by shared third place and two points each; @Crushric , @Black Watch and @JerseyGiants88 !
The old goat Crusader Kings II got thirteen stories voted in, won by @Midnite Duke with six points. Closely followed by @Bullfilter , @Thaiga and @Superstorm with five points each, thus securing second place. Third place was taken by @streaker77 !
The young prince, Crusader Kings III had three writAARs taking first place, with five points each, these being @Werther , @Revan86 and the Professor himself, @Peter Ebbesen ! Second place went to @HistoryDude with four points, followed on third by @ImNoOne and @Olden Weiss with two points each!
The old lady, Victoria II, got seven AARs given a nod, with @HistoryDude on a runaway victory with eight points, followed on second by @Rensslaer and @Tommy4ever on second with four points each. Third place was awAARded to @Eurasia with three points!
The young queen, Victoria 3, only saw three AARs awAARded votes, with @Chilango2 a runaway hit with four times the votes of second place @Jimboy93 and @Volodio !
The old warhorse Hearts of Iron IV got four stories voted in, with shared first place and seven points given to @TheButterflyComposer and @Bullfilter , second place with three points going to @Idhrendur and third place with one vote going to @Basileus2 !
The space opera Stellaris saw nine stories gaining votes, with the decidedly biggest number across any category. @Von Acturus won, barely, with an impresive ten votes, followed by @Macavity116 on second place with nine points. Third place went to yours truly, with eight points.
The Other category saw an impressive eleven AARs voted on, with @The Kingmaker comfortably winning with seven votes, floowed by @HistoryDude with five votes and third place awAARded to @Uriel Blackwing , @Slan and @Bullfilter all getting three votes!
