Is there a way to turn off (or down) the amount of reflection? The roads are entirely too bright, especially when it is raining. I don't see a graphics setting that controls this. I have absolutely no DLC, only the base game.

Try:

From the MENU ... (or if in-game hit esc then go to options)
GAMEPLAY
then 'untick' ... Use dynamic weather

Hope that works. I have not tried it yet ... but it will be my next point of call already having disabled the night and day cycle whilst building. None the less, I will be turning it all back on once I am done or wish to viewed my efforts as the city should be viewed. Imo when building ... it's way better to disable both those features.

Thanks, all. I'll give the Weather Effects the heave-ho tomorrow.

Any ideas on the Green/Red text in the budget display? Neither show up very well on against the black background. Failing eyesight is pretty awful, for the record.

If you get the moon phases mod you can make it quite a bit brighter during night, I prefer that to turning off night. Otherwise building at night is annoying, yes.

For the record, turning off Weather Effects did the trick. I was looking for a reflections setting in the Graphics options. I'd prefer an option to leave the Weather ON and disable the reflections. I'm already building a considerable list of things about this game that annoy me, and I've only been playing a week.

I hated to turn off the weather effects, but I hated the ultra-shiny roads more.

I wish that stuff didn't look so washed out/overexposed either.
