Put forestry destroy field?

Hi all,

I use to put some trees around my farm for eye-candy but it seems to destroy the fertile land resource beneath it ; If I removed the tree, the ground is white and I'm not rely expecting it will be renewed.
Someone could confirm?

I think the pop-up helps warn about this someplace.. but yes, trees consume the fertility.
