Doge - Silver with jewels and a red ribbon
King - Gold with a blue ribbon
Muslim King - Gold with a green ribbon
Prince Bishop - Silver with a white ribbon
Bishop - Bronze with a white ribbon
Mayor - Bronze with a pink ribbon
Count - Silver with a blue ribbon
Tribal count - Silver with a brown ribbon

Put new ribbons around the portraits of viceroys, tribes, temples, and rebels.

For all the other kinds of of rulers it's easy to tell what rank they are or if they're a republic. So I suggest pdox should add ribbons around the portraits of other kinds of rulers similar to the republic ones.

Rebels can be black.
Tribes can be red.
Viceroys can be green.
The pope can be white.
Or any other colour combo.

All clergy for white, I'd say. Viceroys is a really good idea, and tribes can be a nice one too.

Achedteacher and i were talking about this and he brought up some good points.

Viceroys can be both viceroys and dukes or republics. So i believe either the ribbons ofz the primary title should show or the viceroy ribbons should always show for clarity's sake.

Also the viceroy ribbons should be placed below the ducal ribbons so we can see all three potential ribbons at the same time(ducal level republic viceroy).

Tribes, republics, and temple vassals can't exist as the same person so the ribbon should be at the same place as the current republic ribbon and be dependant on the primary title.

In addition to this I believe the Caliphate and Fylkirate are religious titles so their holders should also have the white church ribbons to properly distinguish them as the counterparts of the pope and other religious heads regardless of the fact that they are technically feudal.

Yes I like that idea too! I'm not sure what the rebel ribbons or their ring should look like though.

Like someone above mentioned it doesn't need to be ribbons even it just needs to be an easy to notice visual cue that tells us their rank. I picked ribbons because we already see them in game.

I like the idea of the wicker or some other earthy looking ribbon type thing. It doesn't necessarily need to be ribbons as long as there's some kind of visual cue around the portraits.

+1. We already have the crowns for purely the rank and theres no easy way to tell a tribal fief from a non-tribal one.
