Just a small suggestion I had that I wanted to see what people think. Should COptic be changed to be like non-Christian religions, where they cannot get PUs but can get RMs with any other faith? I believe that they historically did marry other faiths, there are no historical Coptic PUs, and it would really improve gameplay for Ethiopia to be able to marry with its many non-Coptic neighbors. What do you guys think?

Absolutely not! As Ethiopia your primary goal is to drive out the infidels and paint everything with your gorgeous colour. Not marrying some lowborn arabs!

Or a bit more serious: I don't think that'd fit. Catholics did marry unbelievers as well. I'd rather go for a more tolerant policy in all of christendom. Just make it harder to RM other religions - even heretics.

Yeah, but based on the way the game in handling it, I think they do not want Christians to get PUs with non-Christians. I don't really see why they can't just change that, but Copts should definitely be able to marry other religions.

One of the events you get as Ethiopia is when the king marries a muslim and she turns out to be a great statesmen. It's not unrealistic to have marriages between religions I think the bigger problem comes with how many of them were actually dynastic marriages.

Yeah, that event is what gave me the idea to post this. Even if they were not dynastic, I still feel like it is better that them only ever marrying those 2 tiny nations near them. Also, it does bring better gameplay, as it allows for more interesting diplomacy for Ethiopia.

I support it.

Personally, I think the ability to form a PU with another country should be determined by government type, not religion, and the same goes for RMs. Then again, I wouldn't mind a total overhaul of the government system, making it much more diverse than it is now.

Aren't there similar government types spread out across the world though? I think they want to avoid PUs over someone on the other side of the world. I don't see why they can't just restrict them to the same religion or religion group though.
