Hello!

So I am playing a game as a determined exterminator machine species. All went well until i conquered couple of planets from another machine species. Now I have hundreds of excess pops that are inferior to mine, but cost more and I cannot see a way to get rid of them. There is no purge option. Am I missing something??

There should be a species tab in the left ledger, there you can see and set the rights of all species living in your empire. You have to set the living rights of those robots to undesirable and you can then choose a purging option.

Same problem, but I found a way. Put all of these pop on a planet (non machine world), then add another pop from a normal species, the planet will declare its independance, then bomb it to the ground.
