Hey guys, hardcore HoI and CK fan here, just purchased EU3 Chronicles in Steam. The problem is, I want to play HTTT, but every time I start the game Divine wind loads up...

Am a little confused here, if I play Divine Wind, will I get the benefit of all the upgrades Paradox made in HTTT also?

Any help here would be appreciated.

Yes, expansions are cumulative on Steam, so you'll play DW the latest and greatest EU3 expansion :)

Steam have treated the different expansions for EU3 as DLC and will only play the latest thing you have. Since you have Chronicles you will only be able to play Divine Wind. If you want to play HTTT and all the mod goodness that exists for it, I'm sorry to say you're outa luck. Your only option to play HTTT or earlier versions is to re-buy them elsewhere, Paradox aren't budging on this matter and any "alternatives" are not to be discussed.

Frankly it's a load of arse. Paradox blame Steam, as for Steam, I'm fairly sure they've just passed the buck back to Paradox. In the end it's just people like you and I who get shafted. I too have this problem.

But DW is the latest and greatest version anyway. It's still great to play and you won't be losing out on any DW features.

Its not just Steam; I have Chronicles on Gamersgate and can also only play DW.

Chronicles only allows you to play DW, whereas if you bought complete then HTTT then DW on steam, it would still only allow you to play DW.
